TENEX for Plantar Fasciitis and Achilles Tendinitis

Tenex Health's minimally invasive technology offers an effective way to treat Achilles tendinitis and plantar fasciitis. This advanced system of care facilitates the breakup and removal of damaged, abnormal tissue to alleviate the chronic pain as well as dysfunction associated with these conditions.

A procedure using this minimally invasive technology may be recommended when conservative treatment has not significantly reduced pain or restored comfort. As compared to traditional surgeries, this cutting-edge system offers minimally invasive treatment, provides rapid pain relief, and helps ensure a quick return to normal activities with little risk of complications.

Typically performed under local anesthesia on an outpatient basis, the procedure uses an image-guided tiny probe to reach and target the damaged tissue. Once there, the instrument's needle-like tip vibrates at a high frequency to effectively break up scar tissue while leaving the surrounding healthy tissue intact. In addition to precisely targeting and breaking up this damaged tissue, the system is also designed to gently remove it as well. And beyond the previously mentioned benefits, the whole procedure takes less than an hour and requires only an adhesive bandage to close and protect the incision afterward.
